I use conair, and I like i very well, It works, but it won't fry your hair.
Conair is just awful. Chi is the best, a bit price-y but work s wonderfully, even if it is humid outside.
I know this isn't on your list but it works wonders! It's a ceramic straightener by Remmington (sp?) and it's called Wet to Straight. It works on all hair types and you can literally straighten your hair right after you come out of the shower, hence the name--saving you time! lol. I have extremely curly hair because I had my hair permed and as it grew out I started straightening it and I've always had a problem with frizzies--but not anymore! lol It's not even that expensive, it's like apx. $30 and you can get it at Bed Bath and Beyond. Trust me, it works miracles lol! well good luck on your endeavor to find the best straightener, I know I found mine =).

curl master... ive got the thickest and waviest hair ever. but whenever you use your straightener, be sure to spray your hair with a heat proctector, it makes it much more shiny, straight, better smelling and not as much damage to your hair
