I have medium length, wavy/ curly thick hair. I have used the CHI and I do not like it because it fries up my hair and when there is humidity, it poofs a little; even if I thin it out.
Also, I noticed that once you have the CHI for about a year, its performance isn't as great.
I do like to wear my hair curly, but I also like to straighten it.
I have heard about the Sedu, Solia, and GHD strighteners.
Do any of you recommend these? Or some other one?
Please help me out.

I think Sedu is the best. I've been looking for buying that too. Go to that website it'll tell you all about it. It's a little pricey but i've heard it pays off and works for a really long time. even though the other ones are cheep in the long run they won't last. I don't know much about different hair straighteners, but my hairdresser recommended one called Curl Master Ceramics. I bought it for I think $40 and I've had it for maybe three or so years. I straighten my hair a couple times a week, so I don't use it a ton, but it has yet to damage my hair. I'm not sure what material the actual iron is made of, but its not some cheap plastic.Oh yeah, and theres adjustable heat settings and everything. I recommend it.
I have a Conair Infiniti hair straightener and it works really well without frying my hair. I've had it for about a year and a half without breaking it (I had some cheaper Conair types, and they worked too, but I kept breaking the handles and things). On Amazon it's only $42 and when I bought mine I was able to find it at target. It has a two inch and one inch version.
get the remmington wet to straight..its cheap but AMAZING!!! i seriously have 5 friends who have it. it cost like $25 but the quality is amazing they last forever, you dont have to use it with wet hair or anything. it gets SO hot!! best straightener EVEEERRR!!!
