Which hair straightener works better the Chi or the SOS?

I have had my chi hair straightener for about a year now and I love it and it works great however the other day I was at the mall with my friend and there was a hair straightening stand in the mall and the guy asked if he could straighten my hair so I said yes and he told me that the Chi is a bad straightener cause its made of metal which dries your hair out. He said the SOS kind has no metal in it and showed me a cracked one to prove that it is made with no metal. Almost everyone says that Chi is the best kind of hair straightener so I want to make sure before I go out and spend a lot of money on another hair straightener. Which kind of hair straightener is better the CHI or the SOS?Which hair straightener works better the Chi or the SOS?
well honestly all hair straighteners will dry your hair out if u dont put a moisturing product in it but the chi works great its just someone whos trying to make money off of another hair straightener. my personal opinion is that you shouldnt get it. if the chi has been working great for you then you should keep using it and if it really bothers you about the dryness thing then you can get hair oils to protect your hair.

They will say anything to make a sale. Chi is ceramic, so if it works for you and you love it, don't change it just because some guy said so. He has to make the Chi look bad to justify buying his product.
