it is also inexpensiveWhich hair straighteners are the best?
Babyliss pro 230 ones are good i have VERY curly hair and they make them poker straight and sleek all day. there pretty cheap right now too 拢30-拢40
Checkout http://www.topstraighteningiron.com. The site has some good information about the best hair straighteners and where to find them for the lowest prices.
these ones are great - i've had them for 2yrs and they still get my hair poker straight! they're on offer at the moment in boots too :)

they have:
variable heat to 230掳C
30 second heat up
ceramic, teflon庐 and tourmaline coated plates for even heat and easy glide
auto shut off
automatic worldwide voltage
edit: i have also had ghd's and i loved them but i wasn't going to pay 拢100+ for some more! which is how i ended up with these :)
well i have had the thick Charles Worthington ones for over 3 years now and still as good as new. they are just as good as GHD's because they reach the same temperature 200c i wouldn't recommend them for very short hair has i had my hair lobbed off two years ago and wished they were thinner straighteners, but for long hair there great. I got them for 拢55 think it was and that was 3 yrs ago so could be alot cheaper now, but not certain. i would recommend them to anyone with long hair! good look.
P.S aint it crap the whole not enought money thing, i totally understand. well good luck!!!
There are so many copies of GHD'S on the market, and most of the cheaper versions have caught up with the GHD technology. I have a pair by babyliss which are excellent and i used to have a pair of GHD'S! I'd recommend looking in boots or superdrug and then you can see exactly what product offers...i.e. if you want one that heats up quick, or heats up to 200 degrees. You should definitely be able to find something to suit you, mine were on sale for 拢20 but i'd say expect to pay between 拢30 - 拢40 for a decent pair.
some nicky clarke ones are really good i have naturally curly hair and i hate it i use nicky clarke with straightening spray and my hair stays poker straight for ages they are usually about 30-40 pounds
my friend has the bronze babyliss Straighteners they are really good they cost her 拢70 at the time but they have gone down now
xxxx
can you not just get some more GHDs from somewhere that they are not 拢120. xx
My daughter tried four different hair straighteners before she tried GHD's and they were a total waste of money. Nothing compares to GHD's and they are worth the money. If I were you I would just wait until I could afford them. I have seen them for under 拢100 on hqhair.com and lookfantastic.com - maybe try there. Good luck!
look at the heat settings - just make sure you get a pair that heat 200 and above preferably with ceramic plates there are lots around under the 40 mark.
sorry to hear about your ghd's - i'd shrivel and die without mine
